Tracking
LNKN offers two independent tracking systems per page: LNKN Analytics (first-party) and Meta Pixel (third-party). Both are managed from Page → Settings → Tracking & Analytics.
Plus & Pro only
Both tracking options require a Plus or Pro plan. Free-tier accounts have all tracking automatically disabled.
LNKN Analytics
Records page views and link clicks directly in your LNKN dashboard.
- No third-party tools required
- Data visible in Analytics
- Tracks views, clicks, referrers, and countries
- Can be toggled on/off per page
To enable: Turn on the LNKN Analytics toggle in Page → Settings.
Meta Pixel
Sends events to your Meta Pixel so you can track conversions and build retargeting audiences for Facebook and Instagram ads.
Events fired:
PageView— when a visitor loads your pageViewContent— when a visitor clicks a link (includes link title and type)
To enable:
- Turn on the Meta Pixel toggle in Page → Settings
- Enter your Pixel ID / Dataset ID (found in Meta Events Manager)
Finding your Pixel ID
In Meta Events Manager, go to your dataset and copy the numeric Pixel ID (usually 15-16 digits, e.g. 1234567890123456).
Independent toggles
LNKN Analytics and Meta Pixel are fully independent. You can run both, either one, or neither:
| Configuration | Result |
|---|---|
| Both on | Full tracking: LNKN dashboard + Meta Pixel |
| LNKN only | Dashboard analytics, no Meta |
| Meta only | Pixel fires, no LNKN dashboard data |
| Both off | No tracking at all |
Free tier behavior
Free accounts have tracking disabled regardless of toggle settings. The toggle cards are visible in the settings UI but locked, with an upgrade prompt. This ensures:
- Free users understand the feature exists
- No data is collected without a paid subscription
- Toggling on free has no effect on public page visitors
Privacy
Tracking only fires for paid-tier page owners. If you're on the Free plan, none of your visitors' data is collected — even if you somehow enable the toggle.
